Tree Buildings Gallery22/07/09 - A new branch of architecture emerges... Grow your own skyscraper!

Three young German architects are designing structures made completely out of living trees, including a pavilion for concerts in downtown Stuttgart. But designing the ultimate treehouse turns out to be trickier than one might expect. Have a look at the gallery here.

Cool Icon 23/06/09 - SSC Aero AV - Change your perceptions  of what an electric car can do!

For many years the perception on electric cars has been that they are slow, have limited range, and take forever to recharge. What if you were told of an electric car with range of 200miles, has 1000+ HP, can do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, exceed 200MPH and (this is the really cool bit!) recharge from any mains socket in  10 minutes! See more about this and other new eco cars here.

Small Cool link 17/05/09 - The Plastiki Boat

This video  interview from Treehugger.com is well worth a watch. David explains a new way of looking at the systems of planet earth, how cashew nuts play a vital role in the boats construction, and offers a fantastic Evil Knievel analogy of  humankinds development! Click here to watch it.
