3 in 1 Solar Toy Set

Fun for all  ages with this futuristic solar construction set that can transform into 3 robots.

Start by building the central core that houses the motor and solar panel.

Then add and remove components to transform the robot into three moving models.

By doing this you can build a walking robot, a crawling scorpion droid, and futuristic tank!

All you then need is sunshine.

Place the models in the sun, and the solar panel will instantly generate electrical power.  This power drives the DC motor and brings the transformers to life.

The kit comes with all the parts and full instructions for all three toys.

Q&A

Will it work with a lamp or torch?

The PV solar panel uses the suns UV rays to make the electricity. An incandescent or halogen bulb will work once you get the light source within 10-20cm away. Energy saving and LED bulbs do not produce any UV rays like the sun. The simple rule of thumb is that if a bulb gets hot,it will give off UV rays and make the panel work.

How long will it last?

The model is guaranteed for 5 years, but should last much much longer. We use these models in our shops window display and fool them with lights on cloudy days. They have been running non stop all day, everyday for over 4 years!

What is the recommended age?

To assemble the manufacturers recommended is 10 upwards, although it is a quite involving build, so may be best for 12+ .Our 6-1 set is lightly easier with less parts...    ...you can see this here
