The magazines are cut into thin strips and tightly rolled, then finally varnished to make gorgeous beads.
Because of this you are guaranteed to have a totally individual piece of jewellery, no two are the same!
These necklaces have been made by a fair trade women’s co-operative in the Philippines, ensuring they receive fair wages and rights, and as it is a cooperative, every single person involved in the production of the jewellery has a say in how things are run.
